Born 21 February 1897, at Chelford, son of Noel and Lilian (nee Tristram) Lee, who were resident at Heawood Hall, Nether Alderley, Cheshire, in 1901. Noel’s siblings were, Josephine Eleanor, Christine Annora Penelope and Richard Tristram.

Noel Esmond Lee was drafted to the Ypres Salient, where he was engaged at the Third Ypres Battle, (Passchendaele), he was killed in action, Friday, 24/08/1917, he was aged 20 years.

Medals: British War Medal and Victory Medal.

These medals were sent to his widowed mother, who was living at Ormesby House, Farnham, Surrey. She was also the Administrator to the Probate of his Will. Effects: £359. 13s.
