Did you have a relative who fought in Great War?
Cheshire County Memorial Project is researching over 23,000 men and women from the County who fell but of course many more returned.
The project is now offering a service of research into all those who took part, either in or outside the County, died or returned. Searches will be made for the following:
- Service Papers
- Medal Index Card
- Medal Rolls
- Soldiers Effects
- War Diaries
- Census Records
If your relative fell the project can print off a replica of the memorial scroll that would have been sent to the next of kin.
For a £10 donation to the project all the information found will be printed and sent to you. (In some cases, documents must be purchased from various sources if this is the case the project will advise you before proceeding)
All donations help towards the research, the cost of printing and postage and the upkeep of the County Roll of Honour.
If you would like to know what is available on you relative please contact the project by clicking here and give as much information as you can to help with identification.
